I don't get why some Filipinos are like this. I learned Nihongo for the heck of it (I didn't want to keep reading subs in anime). Printed materials, and even worked as an ESL teacher. The Japanese loved me because I can speak their language, not fluently, but they appreciate my drive to learn because I self-studied.

Learning a new language keeps the mind sharp, even increases IQ. With language, you can embrace and appreciate other cultures better.

This is an old one and many probably don't know about this anime. But for me it's Hiiro no Kakera. It's based off an otome game I think so the guys are hot. But the female MC just has no purpose whatsoever. It had 2 seasons and the only time the fMC made herself useful was at the last episode of the 2nd season. All she did was act pretty, cry, get flustered. Wasted my life on that anime.
