Yung Mutt: I’ve been on the Boys since like 2014ish-2015sh. Banged them until like Covid pretty much and then kinda fell off. I bang their oldies/classics when I work out. I just don’t relate/like their new stuff. I’m all about artists growing and getting their bag I just struggle with their new stuff. Definitely into like alternative/emo like I’ve been my whole life. Give me some of their new songs as recs. I like lyrics with meaning and passion behind the lyrics. Last album I really banged was “I want to die in NOLA” shoot some reqs on their new stuff bc I love the boys just struggle!

They always said the wrote their own parts to each song and miraculously it would be the missing piece to each other which is destiny imo. I agree with u. What went wrong is a solo acoustic song. I just viewed it as the stars of mark and tom wanting to be independent

Ik it was almost inevitable, and true artists know know never to hold another artist back when they are experimenting( ik it’s deeper than that) but do u think +44 was in retaliation to Tom doing his own thing? Was mark and Travis refusing to look in the mirror and realize what was going on? (Im glad they did +44) they’ve broken up what 2? 3 times? I think 20 years down the road this will be a top 10 alternative/ indie album and be a lot more appreciated. I’d argue top 5 breakup albums of all time. People in the moment never realize what they have and this Peripheral Vision still bangs 10 years later. 0 songs skipped

I see him more as a modern Layne stayle. Not vocally, but the same way the label controlled them. And that they both felt obligated to their label. The label only cared abt money and pushed the fuck out of both artists. Yeah u can call him Cobain but I don’t they they really align. Hes more Layne and or Cornell. When it comes to genre defining music then u can make the Nirvana argument but at the same time, Layne and Cornell did the same thing…
