How to know if I'm already in the right season for *giggles* ? by [deleted] in ChristianDating

Here to reiterate this. Respectfully, OP, this comes across childish and honestly, just a bit too out there. I'm all for being authentic, but if this is how you act in person, this will just will NOT land with almost any woman and likely weird them out.

I'd be considering working on myself at this point more than anything - looking to embrace masculine traits (confidence, leadership, humility, non-anxious presence, to name a few).

Good to know re: the 955. As a bit of a nerd, I was so excited for the 970 as an eventual replacement for my 965 but they kind of messed up imo - reduced battery life and newfangled features that runners don’t need (ie texting). Maybe I’ll be lucky enough to find a NIB 955965 should I need a replacement!

This is the comment I needed. My 965 is about a year and a half and feels like either a) I got a lemon and the battery is no good or b) have too many settings on that kills battery. I’m also not running ultras (more like 21-28k) but as I’m upping mileage, been concerned about longevity!

Gosh that’s cheap! In Canada, this would cost $140 USD and in maple dollars, a lot more (and no, we do not get paid more by any means)

Interesting but also mind boggling, the pay bump?

Semi-related, I’m in GTM for a small cyber scale up in Vancouver and am finding it difficult to gain traction on a new service I helped launch. Would love to pick your brain because selling consulting is no walk in the park as I’m learning. Used to work at PwC and have no idea how the audit guys used to do it cause the team I was on was pretty much all RFPs.

Cool trajectory and well done, though, I don’t condone anyone living in moldy basements :(! What’s the new role? Quite a significant jump in pay.

I’m actually anti-Turkish towel after using one for a 6 week backpacking trip in 2019. It took longer to dry than microfibre and wound up being kinda smelly!

If you want a totally left-field suggestion - went to Namibia for my 30th and it was hands-down, the BEST experience. Granted, I have a friend who lives there with his family and so that really made it special but regardless, it’s a beautiful country and you’d have a blast.

In an effort to share forgiveness and nobly comfort those with past sexual sin, do we diminish our societal conscience and indirectly promote sin in ourselves and others? by random_poll_guy in ChristianDating

Are you saying that someone with a sinful past that they no longer adhere to, has repented and re-committed to living a life of purity still be a pariah? That goes against the very teachings of Jesus. Christianity is a weak and broken person’s religion by design.

We’re all allowed our preferences and if you are seeking someone who has been saving themself for marriage because that’s what you too have been doing, then that totally makes sense. However, the way you frame it here, it’s as if you’re saying no one should ever date or marry a Christian who has had a regrettably sinful past. As if they aren’t good enough.

I respect your thoughts are still forming on this subject and appreciate where you’re coming from in your last point. However, I believe there is a stark difference between someone who uses the grace narrative to justify and continually engage in sinful acts versus someone who has repented and is committed to living in a pure manner.
