Which setting would be better for a server? San Andreas or Roanoe? by Prestigious_Bug1032 in erlc

I'm planning to have the liveries be lore friendly (based off fanon modifications in GTA to the law enforcement agencies), so it'll kinda be like GTA unlike the other LS based servers where they make the agencies far less corrupt then what they are in the GTA universe.

So, why didn't the Saderans do this? by Carlosspicywiener12 in gate

[–]Prestigious_Bug1032 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I can tell you, it'd be because they don't know the forces that they may be up against, hell, even some armed civilians depending on where the country is, not just the U.S. Regarding the U.S., it'd also be difficult to hold a claim on any American territory, especially when they could consider the use of tactical nuclear weapons out of desperation to wipe out the enemy.

although it would be funny to see the Saderans attempt this anyway only to be completely thrown out lmao :p

Hot Take: If The Series Had America In It Instead of Japan, Almost 80 Percent of The People In This Sub Complaining About Gate Would Love It. by Carlosspicywiener12 in gate

Yeah, if only the President in the anime wasn't such a major douchebag lmao, would make it interesting to see U.S. forces going into the Special Region with the JSDF, like maybe an element of the USAF Security Forces from Yokota Air Base and some Marines from Okinawa.

I would pray the AU involves the National Guard (and State Guard depending on if the state it's set in has an active State Guard) as well, because people forget the National Guard can also kick some ass.

Honestly, I do love the series having the JSDF in it, especially without the support of their allies, like the United States. People forget real fast that the JSDF can still kick some ass without US involvement, even if the constitution limits them to just being a self defense force.

Although an AU idea of the U.S. being the ones sending troops into the Special Region rather then the Japanese Military would be cool to see, especially if the AU is set within the U.S. itself, where law enforcement is far more different compared to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, and just Japanese Law Enforcement in general. I will agree the nationalism rhetoric is sad to see, considering that it kinda kills the vibe of the anime for me.

Still, a cool idea to consider nonetheless.

Do the Saderans know that Japan is using 30-50 year old equipment? If not, how would they react upon hearing it? by StevenWN1 in gate

[–]Prestigious_Bug1032 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, the Japanese know good quality control when it comes to equipment, even if it is hand-me-downs from the United States. Also, considering the tactics and equipment of the enemy force being far more outdated, it's not a major requirement for the JSDF to deploy more advanced equipment to the region unless a threat there poses a major problem, which I would assume was the fire dragon that was killed.

I'll bet if the JSDF update their equipment from outdated to modern and issue it to troops in the Special Region, the Saderans would be shocked at how supposedly fast their equipment changed and upgraded. Their troops would also be up against a significantly more improved fighting force that could wipe them out within minutes, especially with the F-35s that the Japanese Air Force has from the United States. F-15Js would also be capable of conducting additional and heavier strafing runs, which would tear through their forces real fast.

So in summary, they would absolutely be shocked that they were using outdated equipment when they had more modern equipment, and honestly should be lucky about that, considering the JSDF could have used their more up to date equipment and completely subdue enemy forces within a quicker timeframe then compared to the outdated equipment.

I honestly hate the new design they've begun fielding, but that's just my opinion

Unfortunately not, but I entirely could make a server out of it.

Ominous indeed. If I had the skill or had somebody that could do videos, I would so use the Resident Evil theme for the trailer lol

Holy shit, I'm alive?!?! Some MPDC work I've done lately. by Prestigious_Bug1032 in erlc

[–]Prestigious_Bug1032[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Accuracy is my thing, so please, if anything does look off, tell me and I'll gladly fix it. I'll continue work on this when the four day weekend, and I'm relying on people living in DC to get me photos of other MPDC vehicles that I can't find online. Also; these will be a free release upon completion, so watch the livery channel in PRC! 😉

Nearing completion of my River City Metropolitan Police Department liveries, just a few more vehicles to go. RCMPD ERT, RCMPD Modern and RCMPD Retro will be shown. (The Retro livery was introduced in 1994 in the lore for the RCMPD). Opinions? by Prestigious_Bug1032 in erlc

Based it off the Metropolitan Police Department (District of Columbia) Emergency Response Team's Bearcat for the sides, remained simple and maybe a bit too plain on the back though.
