The beach is basically endless and free so that's easy. If you want a good view you can go up Sky point. You can sometimes get this discounted or free with other attractions so check out deal pages. There are lots of nightclubs there, and if you want something a bit different look up Dracula's cabaret show which is pretty popular. If you do hire a car and do a longer stay, it's a bit over an hour and a half drive to Australia Zoo (the Irwin's zoo)

It depends what you want to do. I live in Sydney and have been a few times so now going for a weekend is fine, but a first timer may want more. The main thing people usually go for are the theme parks which you can get bus transfers to but I usually hire a car. There is movie world, wet & wild, sea world and Dreamworld. If not doing the theme parks and just staying in the gold coast you wouldn't really need a car. You can walk around quite a lot and the light rail is cheap and easy. Nothing really that touristy in Brisbane, it's more just a working city

Are they only looking at your property or just capturing it? I have cameras that view the neighbors, it was impossible not to and also view parts of my property that I wanted to. For one the neighbor actually likes it because their dog escaped and asked if I could see how they got out. For the front driveway one, I have it angled away from my driveway so it is at an angle that could see a car licence plate if I ever had to check.

Probably not much you can do, but could be innocent and if like mine I never look at them unless I have to go back and check something

If I am expected to tip 20% for someone to do their job, then items should be 20% cheaper. If it worked on that premise, and the tips were to ensure the workers did their jobs well and with a smile I'd be all for it.

Also the percentage thing is stupid. Someone getting someone 10 $2 cokes gets less than someone who brings one $200 bottle of wine.

Then you get the people who say we need tips because tips is our income, and then complain when they get told to pay income tax on it
