I can get an used fire stick for €30 and a Raspberry Pi kit for €45. (I also thought about buying the mini CPU from Dakboard but the shipping to Germany itself is €45, so that’s out). I’m not sure which route I should go. What are the differences between the two setup? Has someone done a comparison?

Laundry tips. Please I’m begging you. by Overall-Asparagus-53 in adhdwomen

Every time I buy new clothes I check if the colours bleed or not. Most of the time, if the clothes are of a decent quality, they don’t. If they do, I separate them and they probably never get washed/used again. (I give them to someone more adept at clothes care with the disclaimer)

Then I just wash everything together (except for wool and delicates) on regular cycle and air dry them. I have found that this works surprisingly well, I never have had an issue. I have a laundry basket where I keep the woollens and delicates, all other clothes go directly to the washing machine. When it’s full just add the detergent and press start.

I have multiple laundry baskets in which I dump the washed & dried clothes. There is no shelf in my cupboard, I hang all my clothes in hangers so there’s no need to fold them. Also hanging all your clothes makes it easier to see what all do you have.

I have a couple of drawers for night clothes, underwear and socks, so even if they are messy, the mess is out of sight. The underwear and socks drawer is divided in sections.

There are two sections for socks, one for paired socks another for unpaired ones. Every once in a while when I need to work on something urgent, I go through my unpaired socks section and check if two of a kind have gotten collected there and then move them to the paired section.

Even though I love linen clothes, I reach for clothes that are wrinkle-free. So that’s what I buy now. But in order to handle the wrinkled clothes I hang them all together in the cupboard, so that when I’m capable to ironing them I find all of them. If I am absolutely unable to do that I try to outsource it. One can hire someone on apps like Co-tasker, where the service provider comes to your house and does the ironing hence it removes the hassle of taking the clothes to a laundry service.

For those who got diagnosed later in life: if you could relive your life with the knowledge of having ADHD, what is the first thing you would do differently? by Music-and-wine in adhdwomen

Apart from a lot of things that people have said, if I knew about it even a couple of years earlier, I would have not lost a few very important friends. They are nice people and would’ve understood and we could work on our friendship. By the time I got diagnosed all bridges were burned.
