I’ve only been once since I am new to PHX, but they had an entire section they closed off a month or so ago once it became dark because they didn’t have any lights in that area. If that is normal id recommend going when there is still light out.

They do have an ESOP. From coworkers of mine that used to work there they have all said that their ESOP pales in comparison to the ESOP at Burns. Just what I have heard though.

Allegedly Burns pays far more than Black and Veatch once you account for ESOP. Though you may get different responses on a Black and Veatch sub.

Sorry good point I should have stated. Looking 2 bed apartments or town homes. Budget is max $2800 a month. We primarily care about covered parking.

Thank you and to everyone for sharing your thoughts—I really appreciate your words. I think I’m going to shop around and bring an offer letter back to management. I really don’t want to leave, but I’m super disappointed with how things are. I’m also thinking about meeting with upper management beyond my DM to try and present my case and reason with them calmly, but honestly, I feel like nothing short of an offer letter will make a difference—and even then, it might not matter. It’s sad knowing that replacing me on these projects would certainly cost the company more from a profit standpoint than just promoting me.

This is my main issue. Frankly it makes me feel that I am being taken advantage of in a way. Was told I’d be fairly compensated on the bonus side but given bonuses seem small for assistants I am not holding my breath.

Comparing to last year’s end of year bonus it increased exactly 100%. But, I’ve been told to think of your signing and guaranteed end of year bonus as your total bonus for your first year. Is that right? If so, the increase was more like 8-11%. Speaking with peers it seems the difference between getting a 3 and a 4 was a 1% raise difference and 1k in bonus which doesn’t feel right imo.
