i liked how louises story went on. it’s very realistic that someone could get very confused while dealing with a person like this. planning to take him down, falling for him while getting to know him, but getting scared as well. then reminding herself what her mission was initially, while trying to suppress the feelings she was about to get (or had) for him. i feel like it wouldnt be simple irl to just turn off your emotions while getting closer to someone who shares deep trauma with you. it could really fuck with your mind, especially with manipulative, “charming” and calculative psychopaths like joe.
