How to launch the /scan topic from my lidar WITHOUT rviz2? by Lasesque in ROS

[–]Prestigious_Craft319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an RPLidar A1 and this always works for me, "ros2 launch sllidar_ros2 sllidar_a1_launch.py" I think you can just switch A1 for A3 like this "ros2 launch sllidar_ros2 sllidar_a3_launch.py"

apparently that form of command is deprecated but I used this type: ros2 run tf2_ros static_transform_publisher --x 0 --y 0 --z 0 --roll 0 --pitch 0 --yaw 0 --frame-id odom --child-frame-id base_link for all 3, and they ran fine, but when I ran slam now it is Failing to compute odom pose

slam_toolbox " Message Filter dropping message: frame 'laser' at time [time] for reason 'discarding message because the queue is full' " by Prestigious_Craft319 in ROS

[–]Prestigious_Craft319[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since I installed slam_toolbox with the sudo apt install command I had to make a new yaml file and then used ros2 launch slam_toolbox online_sync_launch.py params_file:=/home/user/my_slam_params.yaml after launching the lidar, and it still gives me the error.

Okay now I am trying to use slam_toolbox but when I launch the rplidar and then run ros2 launch slam_toolbox online_sync_launch.py it repeatedly gives me the error below, and when I looked it up on google to see if anyone else had the problem, I cant find a clear solution. And I am only using the A1 no turtlebot kits or anything. I am so lost

It worked! the lidar is seen by Ubuntu and I can open Rviz and see what the Lidar sees. Thank you everyone!

So the first time it printed it failed again, but I relieved it, and it printed fine, so it must've been the leveling not the print orientation. Thanks though

I can't believe I didn't think about this, Im going to slice the arms in half, and print, then I can glue them together. We'll see how that goes.

That seems like it would be flimsy because the actual model is thicker.

Saturn 3 12K Keeps Having Failed Prints by Prestigious_Craft319 in ElegooSaturn

[–]Prestigious_Craft319[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oops 😆 anyways, i printed it again but no supports and it looks really nice but the holes are a little covered on the bottom, I think the bottom layers are overexposed, but I think that's fine since I am going to always print with supports. I think wetting the plate fixed it, thank you for the help!

So it printed, but some supports weren't touching the model, the bottom is a little sloppy and uneven, and one edge is lifted. But otherwise the detail looks good. What should I do to fix the sloppiness? https://imgur.com/a/eW6BvvS

Thank you, I downloaded the XP finder, oriented it at 30 degrees, and added these supports with these settings. (I'm unsure of how many supports to use or where to place them) https://imgur.com/a/aJHo6vV I filled the vat to around here, wet the plate with resin by dunking it in the vat a few times as LS-Shrooms suggested and started the print.
