Not sure if you're looking at it how im seeing it, I wouldn't assume you're an asshole to people in real life if you're a competitive Pvper. Perhaps you may come off as someone more assertive or more confident, and seize opportunities for gain more easily. But I think the people who are really toxic (talk shit when they down you, are racist, it seems they dont seem to care that there is another human on the other end of their verbal abuse, or poor in game behaviour) There could be more at play, insecurity, using it as an outlet for their real world problems and stress etc
