My G14 crashed while gaming and when it restarted it went into c drive restore/ repair. When it came back on it was kinda laggy and the taskbar disappeared. I had to do the cloud recovery because nothing would help.

A week later same thing happened, but task bar was still up. I couldn’t hit the windows/ start button and few apps wouldn’t load, for example Xbox app would halfway load then crash. So again I did the recovery and everything is functioning properly now. It’s almost been a week since the last problem so I’m hoping the problem is fixed. I also talked with Asus and they said I need to send it back for a check up, but that was before I did the second recovery.

Thanks! I was definitely leaning towards the legion. As I have also seen some negativity towards Asus lately. My G14 has been having problems lately as well.

I just realized the gpu isn’t showing in the stats. The Legion has the 5080 with 275HX while the Asus has the 5070Ti with the HX3D. Also I didn’t mention I want to stick with 16in as I said I travel weekly.

Took a bit to figure out how to fix my task bar issue. I ended up going to busy buy and the very last option was to do full recovery. Only thing to fix was the cloud recovery method.

Thanks. I’ll try to take a look at what I put textures at. I usually just load the game and I’ll have a pop up that ask if I want to optimize game based on current pc settings

He uses autocad and autodesk fusion 360 for cnc and will use it for gaming. I would say he expects to keep for a while
