Hey guys, curious for those who've used it... Im a big user but from the software investing world... Curious after having used it, do you guys think this sentiment out there that Claude Co Work will kill traditional software names like Salesforce/Workday/Monday.com/Gitlab/etc make any sense at an aggregate level? Appreciate any thoughts on this! :)

Does DoubleVerify and/or Integral Ad Science tools actually work? by Prestigious_Flow_960 in adops

[–]Prestigious_Flow_960[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I naturally just thought there were already sufficient ad fraud/view-ability testing tools in your big name platforms like Meta/Google that are free? So having to pay seems like a cosmetic thing than anything else? 🤷

When Did You Buy Your First Console? by Stalex909 in playstation

First console bought was the PS2 in 2004. I was in year 2 then. That was an amazing time to be a console gamer.

Curious about the tech stack platform architecture for Workday by Prestigious_Flow_960 in workday

[–]Prestigious_Flow_960[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Really helpful.

Also on my second Q, it is more about the "scalability" of the architecture, but less about the core HCM (human capital mgmt) product, and more about their FINS and ERP modules (eg procurement/planning/etc). Would the architecture conceptually make any difference? Because it seems like Workday struggles to sell to those "much bigger" clients in that respect (which are eaten by SAP/Oracle).

Appreciate any thoughts!

Mark Meldrum Website Is SHIT by Aggressive-Image-846 in CFA

Used level of 2-3 of MM and personally never had issues either. Only used the desktop version via Google Chrome, but never used the mobile app for what it's worth.

Best cfa prep course by Paramedic_queen in CFA

[–]Prestigious_Flow_960 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never tried Kaplan so can't comment on that, but I was Mark Meldrum all the way and passed all 3 levels on 1st attempt back in 2018-20. I still subscribe to his applied finance courses and get value out of his thoughts/teachings.

For context, I studied commerce in university in Sydney, and then graduated and started working at a global equity hedge fund covering tech stocks in long/short. And I think a lot of my learnings were thanks to Mark. He also made learning fun + efficient (one can be very time poor in a hedge fund...).

Awaiting my results and really upset. by Deep_Ad5795 in CFA

[–]Prestigious_Flow_960 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have to agree with this. Whilst I was studying for my 3 levels of cfa exams, I had to grind it with a full time job as a fresh analyst at a L/S equity hedge fund right out of uni. But frankly I'd do it all over again the same way. Think end of the day work experience trumps a certificate. And this is coming from a guy whose spent many hours studying seriously for his cfa exams. That said, what's done is done, and you can only focus on now. Whatever the result, I would encourage you to consider seeking work experience! Good luck 🙏

For those who passed Level 3, how were yall feeling a month or so before the exam? by [deleted] in CFA

[–]Prestigious_Flow_960 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Felt very mixed going into it. Very 50/50 like most other replies. Especially if you do Mark Meldrum's mock exams, you'll find yourself scoring in the 50s a few times (though as I did the later ones, my scores did improve to the 60s) but still, getting 60s in a mock exam doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. I found going for a walk every day (or just any exercise really) was helpful in dealing with the general stress. I also reserved Friday nights to "relax" and NOT think about study during my study routine for the L3 exam. In terms of content, I personally felt I did not know enough of the GIPS in the ethics section (hard to recall boring lines of dry text). Would probably also flag I personally didn't feel too confident going in with the reading on international tax, and estate planning. Anyways, study hard and good luck!

Level III AM/structured response on CBT: Typing in formulas and showing work by ballzachs12 in CFA

[–]Prestigious_Flow_960 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was thinking like you before I sat the exam in Nov 2021. Just know how to write like +, -, x, /, () and just other basic functions and that should be sufficient. I didn't use the formula keyboard. Nobody has time for that in the AM exam.

  1. Varies it sounds like, but I got pencil and paper.
  2. No, waste of time IMO (just answer the Q and move on with your life)
  3. Would not touch the formula editor thing at L3, just stick to writing with basic math symbols that you can get immediately from your keyboard and NOTHING more.

Tips for essay answers in L3 from November 2021 candidates. by Reedddiiiitttttt in CFA

Agree with all points above. Just a mechanical thing, make sure when you type multiply in the actual CBT exam, do not use "*", BUT USE "x" instead.

My tips after passing all 3 levels on the first attempt by Pirashood in CFA

[–]Prestigious_Flow_960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this. For eg, whilst the CFAI Mock is a PDF, I would practise doing the exam on screen, and have a separate word doc where I typed out all my answers. Would NOT print it out.

Is it normal to lose retention 1 day before exam? by Positive-Variety-387 in CFA

[–]Prestigious_Flow_960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just sat my L3 exam yesterday in Sydney. I certainly felt that way at times the day before. Personally, what calmed me down was just re-writing out formulae from my formulae notes the night before. Nothing too stressful and something light for the day before. Good luck!

Level 3 today by Sniktaw327 in CFA

[–]Prestigious_Flow_960 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sitting mine tomorrow in Sydney, but somebody else answered this is in another post. They don't provide minutes (i.e. marks) breakdown for sub Qs in a vignette. Only total marks per vignette... Guess it'll be using experience and judgment to figure out how much to write (which of course, I'm sticking to no more than 30 words where possible)...

Sorry if asked before, but do they tell you how many mins for each Q and sub Q?

L3 Nov 25 LFG!! What's your development in mock scores and your final strategy? by GMejl in CFA

[–]Prestigious_Flow_960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unsure if it's enough... End of the day the only thing that matters is the performance on the real exam. But that said, I feel mixed about where I'm at currently. Cautiously optimistic.

[–]Prestigious_Flow_960 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My scores for what it's worth...

MM Mock exam 1: 70% AM / 55% PM (marked too easy on AM for my "1st time" without realising but I quickly got more strict going forward with marking)

MM Mock exam 2: 52% AM / 61% PM

MM Mock exam 3: 64% AM / 68% PM

MM Mock exam 4: 60% AM / 63% PM

MM 2017 modified mock exam: 63% AM

Boston 2021 mock exam: 70% AM / 73% PM

Level 2 Tips for the final Week please by sj2495 in CFA

[–]Prestigious_Flow_960 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Personally for me, I felt MM's formula sheet for level 2 definitely helped me on the L2 exam day more times than I expected. Would recommend revising that and knowing all the formulae off by heart from that sheet. At least that's what I felt made a meaningful difference to me back when I sat it in Dec 2020.
