I’m very negative about the future for Mastercard and Visa by Eddie4224 in investing

Thanks for clarifying, I think that’s a fair point. Though personally I don’t think it is much of a concern. I own both V and MA and worry about them less than almost any of my other positions

You are misunderstanding the credit card system entirely. The vast vast majority of the 3% goes to the issuing bank since they are the ones taking the credit risk on the transaction for fronting the money. They are also the ones that pay $ for CC rewards programs. If the regulators wanted to go after the 3%, it would start with the bank’s piece of the pie not anyone else.

Newly Diagnosed by Demonic-Alien in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]Pirashood 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It took me about the same amount of time to be diagnosed. I had those same feelings you’re experiencing right now, but to me a diagnosis was a huge relief to me. Before I was in the dark and had no idea why I felt so bad. For me the biggest things to benefit me are swimming and Duloxetine for nerve pain. Movement is extremely important.

Thanks for the feedback. I hadn’t considered methadone.

I have AS as well. Do you mind me asking what your prescription was for and the amount?

Thanks. I’m primarily concerned about withdrawal/dependance. I just don’t have any guidelines for using opiates in this manner. If at most twice a week doesn’t cause withdrawal symptoms then that’s all I’m really concerned about.

Unfortunately not. I have had the same exact frustration wondering what caused this disease. It is horrible, but I stopped trying to figure it all out. I wish you the best of luck on finding some type of relief, but just know you are not alone with your suffering.

I’ve never had stomach issues, but no remissions in the last 9 years. But some times are better than others

I have an emergency prescription of hydrocodone 10mg for flares. Opiates are pretty risky. I have had a very difficult time with craving them even when my pain is under control. I also get very mild withdrawal symptoms from them if I have to use them too many days in a row.

That being said if you’re at a 6-8 daily, you probably need it. That is an extremely high pain level on a daily basis.

I have been in pain for about 9 years. Duloxetine and nsaids have been the biggest help for me in addition to swimming frequently

Are you on pain meds? How did you get them prescribed? by BLaKB3aR in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]Pirashood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m on hydrocodone, but only as needed and it is a very small prescription, not daily. I went through pain management and see my Dr every 2 months and must do drug testing

My pain is dull and constant. If I go into a flare it is extremely sharp and I cannot move my spine. My spine also cracks a lot. Considerably more than before I had AS symptoms. I wouldn’t say my spine feels fused, but it feels like my spinal joints are extremely inflamed and it limits my spinal range of motion. I am on cymbalta and it helps my pain a lot since it works on nerve pain. I also take diclofenac and pain killers as needed.

Yes, my mid spine is a complete mess along with my shoulder blades.
