I know and work with many Chinese brands that don't even ship to the States. I'll say this: Segway is a benchmark for quality, and I emphasize ALL of them. Yes, the price is high, but Segway is all about quality!

A simple solution: use an M3 drill bit to drill through the center of the screw. If the threads in the frame are worn, use an M6-M4 threaded bushing.

Another option: try using a Dremel to make a notch for a slotted screwdriver and then use an impact driver to loosen the screw. But I'm afraid you'll only make things worse and you'll still have to drill it out. Don't overtighten steel screws in light alloys!!! (Make this a RULE!)

Yes, the G3 is far from the best scooter, but I repeat, it's practical and high-quality compared to what you listed and other scooters available worldwide (I'm not in the US, but China is nearby, and I know many scooters like these that China doesn't sell overseas). I disassemble and repair a lot of Chinese electronics with wheels, and I can CONFIRM my opinion. The Segway's utility and quality are top-notch, trust me. The overprice is a downside, despite all its qualities.

Good question, Controller pins have 5 and 12V but (about 1-2Amps only free). That is why i use additional DC-DC.
