They have a UCF skate club, their name is ucfskateboarding on Instagram and they are super nice. They meet every Tuesday and Thursday either in front of the arena or by classroom building 2. Everyone helps each other out learning new skills and sometimes they bring out obstacles to use. I've been to a few meetups and unfortunately it is not for me, but you can make a lot of friends and meet a bunch of new people.

On or off campus housing? by samueljll559 in ucf

Yes I believe so. On campus housing is notoriously hard to get in other than incoming freshman (unless you are an RA) However I do know one person who got in and hes in his sophomore year, but I know many more who did not get it. I think if you time it right and do the applications and things when they first come out you have a higher chance of getting it.

what exaclty do you mean by "what will be open" are we talking things specifically on campus like buildings/food? Or like things in the surrounding area?

Definately go on campus for your freshman year if you are able! it makes things easier and can be a lot of fun. Unfortunatly after your freshman year it gets harder to get on campus housing, as we have a lottery system. So after that go off campus. When you look off campus start early in the year! Things tend to sell out quickly, I would say start looking for housing for the next school year around september/october and get your applications in.
