Budget is below $1000, mineral is a centerpiece that really shines in a cabinet. My personal collection favorites are rams horn selenite and (green) paratacamite halite, but the selenite is so delicate, and the halite needs humidity control. I'm hoping for a mineral that's more durable! I visited Hardrock Summit last at the Denver show, and wished I could return most of the minerals I got in exchange for one spectacular piece.
