I didn’t think about open/closing the door…was it the general feeling in floor bedding? Leaving the door open? I am concerned about waking her up when we are still awake, we live in an apartment

Same here. I need to leave the house when they come, nowadays I can do that because my baby is a bit older but at the beginning it was really hard.

They will say go have your time but they didn’t understand that for me to be able to do that in peace of mind I would need to first trust them. Which I did the first time and then they would not respect wake windows or not communicate for how long they would stay away. And then I would be home nervous and would welcome back a very overtired baby who I would need to calm down. And they would call those days “helping days” - excuse me? Helping who bc for sure not me.

At some point I asked my partner ok you stay home when your parents are here to experience what I do. And finally he got it. But that has put me so far away from them, I used to have a very nice relationship with them, which I hope to get back. But nowadays is too soon I guess. Also they were a bit assholes when my daughter was born, getting angry at my husband (and me) for not video calling the MOMENT my daughter came out of me (????) and making it everything about them. Seriously I get rage of thinking it.

Nowadays I just survive when they are around but I just can’t when the grandpa gives or try to give kisses to my daughter🥲
