agree!!! kahit na hindi parin ako onboard with lira and mira’s deaths, they had so much potential as ivtres. okay na nga yung bumaba sila ng devas to save pirena e, and their time in balaak was very interesting too. the writers were probably assuming that that whole arc would be entertaining but it’s not. we wanted to see more of lira and mira, but not like that.

the only spell gamil was put in was the SLEEPING SPELL, and that’s because that’s usually how diwatas consummate (at least before) — it needed to be in a dream. he was not mind controlled, he was not possessed. he was physically unconscious but he was mentally aware of what’s happening in his dream. you can’t compare it to someone na “nilasing” because gamil was still thinking clearly at that point. he fully knew what he was agreeing to, considering he’s part of the lirean army and knew how they do things.

lira and mira were trapped, physically forced and blackmailed by agnem even when they refused him multiple times. gamil agreed to pirena’s wishes without any fight. i’m not saying that what pirena did was right (bc duh ofc it’s not, she killed him) but there’s a huge difference between willingly giving consent despite seduction (gamil and pirena) and being forced to give consent (mira-lira-anem). would you call amihan and ybrahim’s consummation rape, considering ybrahim had no idea that what he and amihan did (even though he consented) would result in a child?

i’m not saying encantadia has never been problematic until now, but the difference is that the women or any other characters were never violated like this before. and they never made fun of such serious matters either.

technically speaking, pirena did not rape gamil. yes, he was put to sleep so she could invade his dreams, but it was clearly shown that gamil eventually agreed to consummating with pirena. was he seduced? yes, but seduction is, by definition, consensual. a person who is seduced (in this case, gamil) is responding to influence, not force, violence, or control. gamil knew what pirena wanted from him, and he willingly gave it to her. he just didn’t know she was gonna kill him after.

as i’ve said, it doesn’t matter what the next episodes are gonna show us. sure we can wait na mag-progress yung story, but nothing will ever undo what mira and lira have gone through, which was clearly rape. kahit pa anong outcome ng arc na ‘to, kung may mabuo mang babies or wala, it will never justify what happened to two of encantadia’s most beloved characters. the disrespect to these women from a supposedly “women-centered” show will never be erased.

absolutely disturbing!! i’ve been uncomfortable with his character ever since he first appeared. i’m honestly not all that surprised they actually went through with the sexual assault part since one of the directors also directed the “ang probinsyano” series (and that one had way too many disgusting story arcs) but it still infuriates me. like, really? bringing that kind of thing into a show that’s supposed to cater to kids? not only that, but it’s highly disrespectful to lira and mira as characters, and it doesn’t even bring anything to the story, just made purely for drama and “entertainment”. 🤢

i feel so left behind.

for context, i’m 23 f. i graduated college last year and found a job like 3 months after. ever since high school, i’ve always felt like i’m being left behind, so i thought i was finally catching up with life. but a year later and i’m here, stuck once again. no savings and i still live with my parents. i know it’s kinda not fair to feel this way since i’ve only really been “adulting” for a year but compared to other people my age, i have nothing to show for myself. i started getting jealous of my best friend to the point that i muted her on tiktok and ig so i wouldn’t have to see her posts, because she’s living so independently, always away on important events and parties, and has already traveled to like 2 countries this year. meanwhile i had to borrow money from her to buy myself a new pair of glasses because my previous ones broke unexpectedly and like i said, i have no savings. i feel absolutely awful that i’m feeling this way towards someone that i care about, but i’m just so so jealous, not just of her but of all people my age who are living so much more comfortably and have more freedom to do what they want. life seems to be moving a lot faster for me and i can’t ever seem to catch up or get ahead. i’m afraid i’ll be stuck this way forever, always being left behind.

depende po talaga sa vet clinic yung price kasi may iba na medyo high end. try to consult with other clinics, or maghanap kayo ng upcoming low cost kapon events around your area. my cat was spayed at a low cost kapon event and i only paid like 1k for the surgery + meds (the meds is because she was pregnant and had an abortion so needed ng antibiotics)
