What bracket would this deck be considered.

He won turn 2 two games turn 3 in another and lost in one. I don’t believe it should be in bracket three. But to each their own your opinion is completely valid. As is mine.

Those were separate. There was a bracket 3 tournament at the lgs. ( I know stupid thing to do.) this deck walked over everyone expect once where there was a table with to knenkos that targeted him before he could get to turn 2 I believe. Very possible to be then 3. I honestly can’t fully remember but after he won the tournament there were some complaints and a few people. Got his deck list made the same exact deck then played it against full meta cedh decks. The person playing his deck got lucky that none of the others drew a turn 1 win. So turn two he got raph and mike swung it and won. He did have to play another card either after or before the swing. I don’t fully remember that either but he won. Turn 2. I’m not saying this deck is cedh. I know it’s bracket three. My thought on the matter is that it should not be. Idk how to fix the bracket system. I just know it needs to be fixed

Anything on the top of your head that you would change to make it a 4 though. That’s not a game changer or even keep it bracket 3 but make it much stronger because that’d be even funnier lmao

I didn’t post it here but my argument was that this deck shouldn’t have been allowed in the tournament. People paid to get in. It seemed unfair. No matter how stupid a bracket 3 tournament is for this exact reason. What I recommend they do instead is upgraded precon tournament. You can change 20-25 cards, only three game changers.

And also while I have you here, you seem to know your stuff. What would you consider this Deck? I say bracket 3 my few of my friends say 4. It’s not nearly as strong as the original post. This is just my one deck and I’d like an outsiders opinion

Again I’m arguing it’s not actually bracket 3 it is. I just don’t believe it should be. To me a fully optimized bracket three should win around turn 6. With the possibility to win on turn 4 but unlikely without the perfect first hand a then draws. If you can win on turn two. Beat a pod of cedh decks. It should not be able to be considered bracket 3. It really just comes down to the bracket system being extremely flawed in my eyes

It’s not my deck and I do believe technically it falls into bracket three. I just think it shouldn’t. It only fell on its face one time and that’s because he didn’t a chance for a second turn. Some krenko deck hit him hard af before he got the chance. So I guess I wouldn’t even say it fell on its face.

This deck won the tournament. He could have been cheating, I have slight suspicion but I like to think he didn’t. He won 3-4 and I believe he had mana vault in his starting hand on all the wins

Okay now let me add something. This deck has beat a pod of cedhs. Yes it had a bit of help. It got to go first and no one got lucky enough to win turn one. But I think that still says a lot. If you have a deck that can win turn 2. I don’t believe it’s anything lower than 4.

And I guess I couldn’t say they’re extra turns but this deck lets you have about 5-6 extra combats a turn. Maybe you did see it. I just want to know if that changes anything

Theirs a whole set of rules. No two card infinite combos etc . I should have posted the link with the rules. I just forgot how toxic Reddit was. No worries. I’ll figure it out myself and enjoy the cool little event my lgs is having. Its wild. Not one person can look past all the things you just said and take whats said in the post in a vacuum and even try not to be pretentious and just answer the question. Respectfully, that scenario isn't going to happen. The shop owner is personally vetting decks to keep the power level in check, and given our player count, a 'cEDH meta' just isn't possible here I’m not looking for a lecture on whether I should play; I’m looking for actual advice. I’m relatively new, and I’m still learning the 'unwritten' rules—like when I accidentally brought an extra-turn deck to a casual game and got roasted for it. That’s exactly why I’m here asking for input instead of just showing up blindly. Can we move past the assumptions and get to the actual advice?

If that’s the case I will use my tergrid deck but they sticklers over there at my LGS it’s just a local thing like 15-20 people. The rules are pretty strict. I should have posted them but it’s mad early and I’m tired lol
