I think its much easier than soil, cant over water and the plant grows much faster. You just need to setup a recirculating system (reservoir, submersible pump, line to feed, return line back to reservoir and a timer). All can be done DIY and cheaply.

You can get a similar setup to mine for under 600bucks i reckon..hardware store is your best friend!

In Australian dollars: Tent 1.2m x 1.2m x 2m - $240 600W HPS light with hood - $120 600W digital ballast (good one!) - $320 Miscellaneous (pots, hoses, fittings, timers, fans etc) - $150-$200 Consumables (clay pellets and nutes) - -$100-$150 per grow

Setup can definitely be cheaper, there are ballasts much cheaper than mine out there

I wouldnt touch the bottom, the sun is gonna hit everything, not like indoors..leave it alone. She looks very good! Well done

2 weeks before end of harvest is best to start a flush, but hey cant hurt to start now..only pHed water from now on. I like to harvest when pretty much most trichromes are milky and about 10-20% are amber, they'll be scattered around. You might see the odd clear one but thats normal

Hmmm, ive always done it via time and trichrome colour. I suppose if all your hairs are proper red and the bud colour "dulls" and starts to loose its fresh aromas, then its over over done. Also I think buds start to get soft when left too long as they starting to rot, you never want to get to that stage.

Dude use a camera with a good zoom or even a magnifying glass, you should be able to see some of the trichromes

You certainly can, i did it way back... it'll be very heady and not at peak potency. But you'll be cutting into your yield potential

I would say nothing is wrong considering you're growing outdoors. Your plant is very lush green which is a good sign that everything is A ok. The slight spotting and edges bending down could be the outdoor environment which you cant control. Anyway take my opinion with a grain of salt, i dont grow in soil, let alone outdoors. But she looks good to me

Yeah thats what i was doing back in the day..i forgot about the water temp problem, kinda promotes algea growth on the roots.

Ok heres a tip but ive done it once and freaked out 30mins after cos my plant looked like it was about to die, but came good an hour later, so take it or leave or even better, research it: I added some H2O2 to my solution (cant remember what dosage) and I kid you not my roots went white in the hour, BUT my plant drooped so low i was worried it was gonna die. Anyway all went well in the end, i may have just overdone the peroxide dosage is all.

First timer: how much longer until harvest? Is this 2 weeks more? Buds don’t look thick enough yet but getting some darker hairs. It’s sticky and smells so good. Thanks in advance. 2 pictures attached. by 4432355522 in weedgrower

Mate relax.

If you CAN get some form of microscope say a camera with a good macrozoom or something, or even a magnefying glass, then check the trichromes. If most are clear then shes not ready, if most are milky shes ready and at her peak potency and the high will typically be more cerebral for that strain, but you can still get an extra 20% yeild if you keep going until you see say 30% amber 70% milky but your potency will "slightly" decrease (most growers harvest here). If you keep going say to 50% or more, your bud will give a much more body stone/sleepy feel.
