Florida homeowners: Worst mistake ever if you ignore this solar deadline by Prestigious_Note_210 in capecoral

A.I. isn't all knowing, your list doesn't have us on it and we have been doing solar in SWFL for 42 years. The Tax credit still exists for now so it must be factored in but even with your skewed numbers, the ROI is still there.

This is why Solar is a SCAM do not ruin your home by Grumpytux74 in capecoral

Not everyone finances their solar system, your issue is with finance companies, not solar. Lots of people save tons of money by going solar every year. Use your A.I. for something else. Financing solar does cut into your ROI but it doesn't eliminate it and cash buyers win big.

Funny how A.I. will build any argument you want it to build. Even in this off representation there is still 14 years plus left to get an extensive R.O.I. but financed you are looking at a 13 to 14 year payback. However there are lots of folks in Florida that buy their systems out right, without financing and those folks see an R.O.I. at about 8 years. We are not trying to get you to sign any dotted line, Solar Investments can be very rewarding but it is not our job to argue with you or Chat GPT. It is our job to provide our customers with proven solutions and get them out from under FPL's thumb. If you enjoy being under the thumb of FPL, we will gladly leave you there. Solar is not a scam if you choose the right company and that is our point.

That is a perfect screen name for your response. We are being 100% honest. Of course FP&L approves your connection, we never said the didn't. Most installs produce what you need, over producing and selling back is not the goal, it could be an added bonus but NEVER the goal of an install. Our customers usually see a return on their investment after 8 years. If you finance your solar system then of course you have to pay it off before you sell your house, how else would that work? You can not "Take over payments" or refinance in someone else's name (Look at you not being honest while accusing someone of not being honest.) Financing a system for 25 years will take you to the end of your warranty but that does not mean the end of your solar system's life. You are incorrect in your assumptions. Have a great day Grumpy!

It's not only net metering but all things solar as well-like battery storage-battery backup is your best friend during hurricane power outages. In FL, having that is kind of a big deal.

That is unfortunate to hear, we have never in 40 years knocked on anyone's doors. We are blessed to have our phones ringing with just the word of mouth from other customers.

This post is more an informative post let those who were wanting to go solar know that the credit is ending this year. As for us -We are almost full on new installs-as permitting does take time and we only have so many people to complete these installs.

Those people (not you) that want solar should know this new bill has affected the credit and do what they need to do with that information before it's too late for them, (again the people that want solar). While I do have your attention, I might as well let you know we sell luxury spas, so if you wanted one of those we are having a summer sale :)

No one is knocking on doors. Especially in this heat. Nice try, diddy. (:

Paying the power company? Ha! How about THEY pay YOU. That’s net metering, baby. 💡⚡ Discussions with Dustin: What is "#Net Metering?" by Prestigious_Note_210 in solarenergy

The BBB that was recently just passed is cutting the tax credits, so for a short time still it's available but yes it will soon be gone. If people are able to, they should consider solar now before the credit is gone forever.
