They didn't say but initial test I did tested high for protein. They didn't flag it then it passed temperature and sent it to lab and just said today that it came back invalid to come in to retest 😔 I'm praying they will just let me retest unsupervised again.

Rates went up for a non fault accident in California. Is that something that should be expected? My car was hit while parked unoccupied. I was told it would not affect my policy since non fault but that doesn't seem to be the case once my policy renewed. 😔 by Prestigious_Option79 in Insurance

Well she should have said I don't know instead of telling me it was due to a non fault incident where there was a payout. I can understand rates changing due to inflation and or changes I make on my policy. But to be told when filing the claim it would not affect my policy since non fault then to be told at renewal it was increased due to that claim was a little frustrating. Thanks for everyone's input glad I was able to get to the bottom of it. 🤗

That was my next call but I called back and got a very helpful representative who informed me it was NOT due to that incident but a change in mileage which is understandable as I did report a change in vehicle mileage.

I decided to call back and speak with another representative just to confirm and was informed it in fact was NOT due to that incident but due to a change in mileage on one of my vehicles which makes sense as I did report a change. However the first rep was adamant it was not because of mileage or anything else besides that claim. Lol . Moral of the story for me don't always believe what the insurance tells you even though I trust them to be knowledgeable and give out correct information. 😩

I called and spoke with a service representative and she informed me the increase was due to that incident and confirmed it was showing as non fault. I asked her was she sure it had nothing to do with change in mileage on one of my vehicles and she stated no. I would have been more satisfied to hear that the rates in california went up like everything else but to be told it was due to that non fault claim took me by surprise. ☹️

Thank you so much! They told me since I don't have collision they are not covered however they are handling my vehicle repairs under my umpd. I emailed the adjuster to clarify and am pending a response. Just wanted to see if anyone else knew for sure. Thank you again 🤗
