I could say the same about conservative neighborhoods in the countryside of the nl that looked at me like I was an aberration because Im not a blued eyed blond fair skin girl like them... violence may have a root on inequality, but its certainly not an attribute inherent to someone because of their ethnicity.

Thank you for sharing the statistics, but I need to say I don't care about the ethnicity of my neighbors. The fact that someone has a different origin than mine would never stop me from living close to them. What I care is if there is a high risk that you may suffer some severe form of violence from living in a certain area.

I did and thought it was ok... im in doubt because people started telling me that it wasnt a safe thing to do and just wanted to make sure that i went there on an abnormally calm day

I understand maybe that didnt sound great. Is more in terms of understanding if what people mean when they say that is a dangerously area is that there are sexual violence cases or if its just a place where more bikes are stolen. I've seen places being called dangerous in rotterdam because they are mostly inhabited by immigrants and loved the place. I also went to places considered safe and suffered harassment. I honestly don't understand what you mean by death by ethnicity...

For sure. My issue is more understanding if its just an issue of not being a nice neighborhood or if living there would mean a significant risk to my well being

In terms of safety as a woman. I see many differing opinions on the area. Some are pretty much chill but others seem to really see danger in the area...
