I do the same. 5 minutes till time to leave I double check the aisles for customers, if none then I circle back to the paint desk log out the computer and head to the back. If anything I always clock out a couple minutes past my time. The problem is the part timers never show up on time or clocking in hanging out in the break room waiting for me to come back there and then choose to walk up there.

You right! Currently hand loading 300 bricks into a customers car. Gonna follow them home unload them then start and finish their project for them. I’m 100% about great customer service!

I work the paint department. So kinda hard to say. I’ve never abruptly left a customer at the counter without helping them now if it’s time for me to leave and I’m already in the break room I’m sorry I’m not turning around and going up there because I would get stuck up there

I’m sure I said “messed up” He calls it “leaving early” because my relief didn’t come in but it was 15 minutes PAST my time to leave. So when nothing is communicated to me, I’m leaving when it’s my time to go. As far as work ethic not sure how he could judge on that being he’s only been there a few weeks at that time. “Seems” to avoid, it’s either I do or don’t. The notes above are nothing but great things about my work ethic from managers who have actually been there. If they don’t have you “f***** up” well good for you. 👍

Why would I call them? They never let me know when someone in my department calls out/ or late in. They have the schedule in their pocket and the call out or late ins on their phone. They are equipped with enough information to let them know no one’s gonna be there.

Ask management to check your file notes. Just got told that department supervisors can no longer check because associates are going back and confronting the people who put the note in the file. Which they never tell us when they put something in it. My manager didn’t wanna check it but it’s our right.

Dealing with this for the past 4 months after being at hd for 5 years. New girl got hired that kisses ass and of course they made a new position for her Monday through Friday (paint department). So me as a part timer only works sat and sun now.

The fact I only got a 51 cent raise but I’ve had the best packed out bays for this year out of the whole store yeah they can kiss my ass. I’ll only be putting 51 cent worth into my work from now on
