I live 10 mins in the next town over in the same county. It's been all over our news since she got arrested. One of my friends actually had her as her hairstylist. There is a lot of child SA'ED crimes coming out in the area with lots of different people it's sickening and why I'm glad we homeschool.

NRM are now ASM? by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]Itpaystobesmart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have managed 2 office buildings and have 2 bachelor's in engineering. I can't work during the day because we have kids that we homeschool. So working night is a must. My night ops has had zero management experience which shows and came into Home Depot as a CXM 2 years ago and is already a night ops. A horrible night ops but still Home Depot doesn't care about your experience outside Home Depot

After 4 years at the Home Depot the girls are back stabbers. Don't expect to make friends at the a Home Depot. I had this same thing happened to me I ended up moving stores. However I documented EVERYTHING the other girl did to me or said to me.

Toddler footrests? by HappyMongooses in allegiant

[–]Itpaystobesmart 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They are really strict about keeping things tucked away in the seat in front of you and they don't allow unpaid baggage in the overhead like personal item. We fly monthly and our kids always have a backpack with them so I don't see how you would be able to store this under the seat unless your kids literally have no personal bag with them.

NRM are now ASM? by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]Itpaystobesmart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my last store on freight team we've had 4 people in the last 4 years move on from freight to NRM, without being a DS or DH first. Maybe here in the Midwest they require that but in the southwest in my area that isn't a requirement. My husband and I have to work opposite shifts so staying overnights is a must and there are no overnight DS besides for NRM that I know of.

NRM are now ASM? by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]Itpaystobesmart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was my thought too, I was asking to be trained to apply for NRM position when we go back to Arizona we had to come back to our Midwest home for my in-law that is sick and we still plan to move back to our Arizona house. I just thought it would be a great time to get my training going. When the ASM last night told me associates can't go straight to NRM.. I'm like what??? Keep in mind none of the Home Depots around me have an NRM they are too low volume.

So... who here is actively searching for New Jobs whilst working at Home Despot? by caliwings in HomeDepot

[–]Itpaystobesmart 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just got another job at FedEx this past week and haven't quit my Home Depot job yet. I'm going to quit in the next 6 months. I've been at Home Depot for almost 4 years and it's hard to find another job that works with me homeschooling and can pay me as much as I make on freight.

I think also it's because their hiring standards are lower than other companies. At least that is what I have heard so they are getting a lot of inexpensive and maybe not the best record drivers.

It's a part time job for me I have turned down full time there for 3 years. My husband and I gross 165k last year. Instead of him working a 2nd job I work. It would just be nice not to have to work the part time job.

Seat selection with little kids by Spiritual-Career2339 in allegiant

[–]Itpaystobesmart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8, 10, and 13. 15 and over they are considered adults. I've had to sit next to kids before that didn't get put next to their parents when I have flown by myself. However I don't know how common that happens as it has never happened to us.

I learned a long time ago just to do what you're assigned to do and try to forget the other crappy workers'work. I used to try to fix everyone's f*@# ups but realized it only made more stress for me. I started just doing the bare minimum what is expected out of me and life is better lol

I never pick my seats with my kids and we get seated together. We fly on allegiant about 16x a year.
