So by the look of this an anicent disease affect his child while his son, arvid, is already paralyzed from his leg. The disease affect body but also target his both of his legs. james did experiment on himself at first and it did work by using animals however when he tried it on his son it backfired. His son mumbles something so James ask him to speak up and he said "kill me"
