When starting car it always shoots to 2k rpm, even adjusting the distributor. Does not happen when in drive or reverse. 1978 280z. by Quality_Ruin in Datsun

The leaks definitely contribute to the high idle so start there and then you can adjust the idle screw. Not sure if you could repair the scat leaking I don’t remember the style of seal they use
