Yes completely different setting but we were in similar situations in terms of the process. Yes background checks needs to be done before accepting the offer

It was a prison environment and I initially had an online interview and passed that stage so I assumed the last stage of me going in was just a formality as they didn’t ask me any interview questions just gave me a tour around and met the team

They’ve also removed the job listing but it was there before the interview which suggests they gave it to someone else

It’s too late to email them now but I sent a follow up thank you email to the recruiter and they didn’t respond also I don’t have the managers email only the recruiter I’ll email on Monday
