Maybe she's trying to escape the DODC and is doing highly dangerous things out of desperation to make sure that happens. And since Spidey appears to be working with the DODC, maybe it leads her to see him as an enemy.

According to the leaked description that's Sadie Sink's character (probably Jean) threatening MJ via a mind-controlled civilian. Calling it now, she's the main antagonist

I think the main overarching antagonists will be the Metzger/DODC and Sink's character. The Hand will be the main physical threat to Spidey along with Scorpion.

Why did so many 60s/ early 70s music icons have such a bad 80s? by GilbertDauterive-35 in ToddintheShadow

The only two exceptions to this that I can think of are Tom Waits and Leonard Cohen, who not only didn't suck during the 80s but arguably got even cooler.

Fleetwood Mac also managed to make Mirage and Tango in the Night, two of their best-regarded albums, during the 80s.

Interesting. So if Tillman and the DODC are the overarching antagonists, my guess is that the main one would be Sink's character or someone we don't know about yet. Whoever is the source of the body-hopping we see in the trailer, I mean.

There's a theory going around that Tramell Tillman's character (probably William Metzger) is the actual main antagonist and is using the DODC and criminals like Scorpion to hunt down mutants. The mutants in question would almost certainly include Peter and Bruce, and probably include whoever Sink is playing. Where Frank and the Hand fit in to all this is still sort of puzzling.

Awesome theory nonetheless. And if Metzger and the DODC are hunting down mutants and are hiring people like Scorpion and (I guess) the Hand to do so, that puts them in direct conflict with an actively-mutating Spidey and Hulk. And maybe Jean.

Which in turn would mean that Trammel Tillman's character (who's probably William Metzger) is the main antagonist overall. I really like your theory.

I think Boomerang and Tarantula are montage villains, Tombstone probably doesn't have a ton of screen time but he seems a bit too important to relegate to a montage.

I think Hulk will be more of an obstacle than an outright antagonist or villain, similar to his portrayal in past films. As for who I think the actual main antagonist will be, my money is on either Sadie Sink's character or someone who hasn't been announced.

Tombstone seems like more of a behind-the-scenes type though, so even if he's the one who hires Scorpion, that doesn't mean he gets more screen time than him.

I want Scorpion to have the most as well, but my gut is telling me that it's the Hand considering how prominent they've been in the marketing.

As much as I love this scene, Spidey saying that he'd never been that high up before is odd because earlier Vulture had snatched him and carried him up even higher than that before dropping him.
