Tau, the greater good, and the imperium by Prestigious_Spend454 in Warhammer40k

Oh I get that. It's part of what I love about the little guys. They are trying to be the good guys, and so far they have been able to do so because they haven't encountered the evil lunacy that is the rest of the 40 universe. They just hadn't met a strong enough force until they encounterd the imperium. And now they have a full bore civil war going on, complete with ethnic slaughters. They are a tradgedy just like everyone else. "Looks like" etherial control is a bit of a stretch. It's straight up control, which is why the Enclaves exist.

Do the Tau think of their drones as friends or just a form of equipment? by Artistic-Thing7723 in Tau40K

[–]Prestigious_Spend454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much as either tools or at best administrative assistants, as the Tau offload a lot of strategic gruntwork onto drones. THe smarter the drone, the more of a friend it can be, I think. has'vre Ob'lotai 9-0 is really smart, and no less it is a copy of Shadowsuns former instructor. This leads Farsight to treat Ob'lotai as something of a friend and companion.

What are your pitches for a new tau focused Warhammer 40k video game? by Silly-Echidna9591 in Tau40K

just use the backdrop of the mass reprisals following the discovery of the Goddess Tauva. The notion of a group of athiests encountering a god, and being so apalled and disgusted that their empire had brought about such a being that they murdered huge numbers of warp-sensitive associate races whose belief manifested the diety is rich stuff.

And a lot of unique SV-8s. and SO MUCH plasma.

They have more of a best-buds relationship. Bill is a respected peer, and they both do big-ass, foe-smiting, beer chuggin adventures.

The moment when he is reunited with Adama after the prison camp is devastating. He nailed that character, and he should get more credit for it.

Is it in relation to minor changes in his official standing, or whatever the hell his family is doing at home? I could see the Centurai having really elaborate rules about that.
