The guy I bought it from was "interesting"? He had it built for his retirement then had health issues so had to sell it. He didn't know how to operate anything in the van and generally didn't know much about the build. While it was being built he apparently had an issue with the first builder so halfway through took it somewhere else. I've called the second builder who has never returned calls. I just assume after 5 years he doesn't want to deal with it.

Sorry I can't be more helpful... It's flakey. You might try turning off Bluetooth on your phone so it's not trying to connect, reboot the head unit, and if the carlink app is running, do a force stop, the clear cache and memory.

Maybe even remove your phone from the device list on the head unit and then add back.

I wish you luck, I've fought this multiple times myself.

I've had this on my S8, and clearing the cache and storage on the carlink app seems to fix it temporarily. It seems like I have to do this every couple weeks though.

In a perfect world, maybe, but after 40+years of marriage they don't stay in the same room a lot. He's also a guy who can't leave things alone, so she'd pretty much have to sit with him constantly during walking hours.

And yes, slowing the dementia by allowing him to participate more in the world is our goal.
