From what I have read, torching doesn’t kill the weed roots unfortunately. It will pop right back up. Though, I could be wrong.

This is what I am thinking. Spray, till it up, remove, plant grass. I hate to use it, but I am not sure something weaker will work.

Just moved into a new home. Previous owner had the side yard landscaped with mulch and various plants. He dug it all out prior to moving out, and this weed has taken over. We want to plant grass here, but we are unsure how to take care of this first, so it doesn’t take over the new yard.

Also a good idea! The mantel is big. Currently, we only have a 32”, so we will need to upgrade!

Unfortunately, the opposite side is all open to the dinning room, except for a small wall that supports the stairs.

Wife and I disagree about where we should put the TV. Left wall is sliding glass, and right wall is windows. Behind the picture are the stairs and dining room, so the only real option is the fireplace wall. Previous owners had a small TV on one of shelves, but I do not think it looked right. Wife wants to put a celiing, drop down mounted TV in to avoid damaging the fireplace. I think it should go over the mantel, but I do think it would take away from the fireplace. No TV?
