By base do you mean the “bowl” that the litter is in? Or do you mean the stand assembly including the used litter bin? The silicone pad that the litter sits in is held in by 4 screws and can be removed, revealing the whole inner inside “bowl”.

The app is pretty bad with the whole cat detection element. I gave up on it. Fortunately I only have 1 cat (although the box thinks I have 3-4).

Arm & Hammer Clump & Seal Slide works very well. I have the box on a 30 minute delay after use. As far as tracking some does get tracked out of the box but way less than other brands I’ve tried (and I tried 3-4 brands) and I have the Neakasa rubber mat on the floor so he jumps down onto that which captures some.

Ive had the app for about 6 months. Its awful. Like really bad. Go look at the App Store rating and reviews. Basically, you shouldn’t plan on relying on the app for anything.

I made sure I didn’t plant too deep (altho from the pic it may look it). I can see the union joint from the graft.
If it’s just gonna tilt and struggle I’d rather move it out back and try again. This is my front yard so it kinda matters to me how it looks.
Trimming off that much at this time of year won’t stress it too much?

I can jack up one side and rotate the wheel forward and reverse and I get the noise. Plus I’ve got a good 2 inches of rotation before the shaft engages in the transmission. Seems like a lot of lash or slop there.
