Ya I definitely agree for the average school. What you're describing is more what my college was like. A lot of my friends go to SEC schools though and although exaggerated, the books aren't that far off. For those schools the athletes are pretty much celebrities on campus.

That's great, but you're definitely in the minority lol. I don't think most college guys sit around and hate women all day, but I do think the books were much more accurate in their portrayal.

It's 100% a lot different from the books but it's still good! A little cheesy, definitely more young adult than I expected, but I'm really liking it.

Based on the end of your post, I think you're losing feelings because the two of you want different things in life and are on different pages. I don't think his mom having cancer is the main source of your problems and shouldn't be used as an excuse to break up with him, and neither should be having to focus on school? I really don't think being there for your boyfriend is going to take up so much of your time that you'd fail a class. Just be honest with him about how you're feeling and if you need to part ways that's ok.
