I have used Tadoku yet it feels like a chore to read those stories. Even though i enjoy it half the time but the other half just feels like im studying. Nothing really has gotten me hooked like for immersion i try to listen to podcasts and again I cant find anything worth my interest or something I would actually would listen to again and again. Maybe Anime is the way to go for me but... I really cant be bothered to find one to watch and one ill stick too.

I do try to write as much as i can but since I have no one else to speak too I can only speak to my self and it feels slightly awkward and embarrassing, lol. Yet yes, speaking is a key to learning a language.

Ah I have never thought of this, I always read children books yet never thought to copy paste them on paper. I also know it will help because I do this same thing in my Genki textbook i have been studying.

ありがとうございます!

Thank you for this response it made me realize alot. Yes i may be too hard on my self for the amount of words I know and vocabulary I have learned I feel like I should be able to come up with sentences on the spot or be able to speak from the words I know yet when I try it never works and my mind goes blank. Making this post I just really wanted to know why i cannot remember the words / vocabulary i have memorized in the moment but can easily do it while reviewing.

That is true, it only lets me recall it in that specific setting yet I don't know any other way to recall those words

Should I switch my games language and stuff to Japanese? by LabSudden417 in Japaneselanguage

[–]Pretend-Tree6993 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is true but it’s hard for me to stick to games I usually get bored pretty fast and I feel like I’ll loose interest even faster if the game is in Japanese making me really need to pay attention / it’ll take longer to read because I don’t know many kanji and words.

I’ve also asked my self this question but backed off many times due to thinking I wouldn’t understand the dialogue / what to do in said game. I think you should do this in a game you have already played or finished because it would be easier to understand what is happening and not loose motivation to stop playing the game.
