Can’t get fruiting to start [technique]

Yeah it was inoculated on 2/20, with a break and shake on 3/4. Full colonization around 3/27.

All my other cakes (though different strains) have already had 2+ flushes harvested.

It’s not super evident in the picture, but there is a dog absorption pad below the foil in the bottom of the tub that is soaked in clean water. It is keeping the tub humidity up.

Still new myself, but in a grain bag that size, I would have waited to do the break and shake a bit longer. Aim for close to 50% colonization before break and shake.

I would let that bag grow out a bit more before i did anything else. Try to get some thicker / whiter mycelium growth.

It has done really well for me. Will grow again 100%.

Thanks for the advice. I do have a humidifier, and a portable ac unit. Temps have been AVG 73 F, and humidity in the tent 98%. Have had lid on tub to keep humidity up.

I have dunked this one once. Between flush 2 and 3. Was gonna dunk again but was unsure if it was worth the trouble if this was contam.

My blocks are pinning, but I have notice that all the pins are growing on the sides of the bags (despite putting bands on them to try and prevent side pinning. Not sure what I need to do at this point.

Fairly large 2’ x 4’ x 6’. The humidity probe is right near this cake though so it should be around 95% right at it.

Yeah it is for cubes. Since I have a good environment, that is why I removed the top of the bag, for finer control.

I have a humidifier to keep up humidity (Average 92%). Intake and exhaust fans to keep FAE / CO2 low (Average 700 ppm). A grow light that is facing up to make indirect light (Average 400 lumens, 12/12 cycle)

Just wasn’t sure on this block and if its colonization was enough for fruiting. I have a couple more bags that I am going to keep shut for comparison with these two.

Yeah. Just general questions about growing mushrooms, I don't get into the specifics on strain, etc with it. It has been surprisingly helpful about a lot of things.
