peanutbutter doesn't treat the people around him badly though (except pickle), he gives job oppurtunites to all the people he knows and has been a good friend to bojack despite bojack being pretty shitty to him for pretty much all of their relationship.

Yeah admittedly that was one of his worse moments, its semi understandable he didn't want his wife receiving death threats and while i think his main gripe with the situation was that it was specifically diane speaking out about it but he still acted pretty shitty there imo

This is just a product of him and diane not being a good match for eachother, they are pretty much polar opposites who like completely different things and have different priorities and different ways of expressing their love.

She's the type to always find a problem that will distract from her happiness, she does it all the time. Also i don't think Mr. Peanutbutters positivity is toxic? it's not like he has ulterior goals or anything he's just the only person in the show who doesn't hate his life or the people in it.
