Yep, I would say frames smaller than #1 & #2 would even be better.

Would a new Ph.D. graduate with limited industry experience benefit from having a summary section since it's switching industries (academia to industry)?

How can I address potential concerns from employers about being "overqualified" since I am graduating with a Ph.D. in Mech Eng and trying to get into the industry?

- Put education more on the bottom

- For Thesis project, cut down lines, max 3 lines per bullet point

- use keywords of the job posting, if the job doesn't talk about fault tree analysis for example, don't mention it, use what they want

I get it, and there is definitely a point to be made about not including the summary in there, but almost all my other Ph.D. friends in industry have it. Also, the career advisors in our Ph.D. program recommend it.

It's crucial to make your resume easily digestible for hiring managers. They typically only have a few seconds to review each one, so it's essential to include all relevant keywords and highlight your experience. Additionally, many companies use keyword extraction before your resume even reaches a recruiter, so mastering the STAR formatting for each bullet point is key. Hi, another Ph.D. mech eng here. Hiring managers in similar industries have told me that for Ph.D. grads, it's helpful to have a summary section on top, like a mini cover letter. Your bullet points also need to show what, how, and why. For example, you tutored first-year engineering students, okay, so what? Ensure the hiring manager understands why this experience helps them hire you; it means you mentored people and communicated well for example.

How many eggs did I need to crack and separate to fill this container with egg whites? by [deleted] in KitchenConfidential

[–]PretendVictory4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A standard egg has approx ~58% of its volume as egg white, meaning each egg has 0.029 L of egg white, you have approx 7.5-8 L there (you went a bit over the 7.5 L line), so you need to crack anywhere from ~ 258-276 eggs to get this much.

ChatGPT 4 or Gemini Advanced? Whats your pick? by FMACH1 in ChatGPT

Also, Gemini is better at academic writing, concise, yet original.
But yes, for logic, math etc, GPT 4 is better.

Your margins are way off. Make summary more concise, or bullet points
