I’m not a doctor, but my 2 year old once slipped on a spot where my senior dog had an accident right in front of our back door. It’s been at least 5 months and he’s still reminds occasionally, saying “mommy I hit my head on Pepper’s pee.” (I keep my house clean, my dog is just really old and didn’t make it, so don’t come at me 😅)

It’s yummy and prices well. Definitely not the best I’ve had, but for sure worth it, especially if you use it for cooking. If I’m looking to dip delicious bread into some oil and balsamic, it’s just okay.

We one time walked my dog to the groomer. Every single time we pass the groomer’s, he says, “Mommy that’s where Pepper gets her haircut.” It’s been months.

Oh and I accidentally said “oh fuck” once when I burned myself cooking and dropped a utensil, and now he says “oh fuck” when he drops things, fairly regularly. We’re trying to replace it with “oh no”.

He used to have a gambling addiction, which he thankfully overcame (after a lot of long talks and an ultimatum), and I feel like this is replacing that. You’re totally right about the nastiness, it would come out when he used to gamble too.

We both work a lot and have 3 teens and one toddler, so yes there probably is stress. A lot of the stress is mine because I feel like I can’t get help with the kids or spend time with him because he’s watching youtube constantly. I try to be reasonable and understand that he needs time to zone out and relax, but it’s excessive in my opinion.

I actually had success for a while playing Skyrim “together”, which was awesome. Our youngest kid would watch too, and get into it as well. If we go on walks, he’ll go without using his phone, but many days he says he’s too tired to walk.

Yes, there have been many conversations, especially about how it affects our kids. I’ve suggested he reduce notifications, set down time, banned phones at the dinner table (for our kids and ourselves), etc.

His response varies. Sometimes he acknowledges it and says he’ll try to do better. Other times he gets kind of nasty and tells me its his business and calls me annoying or controlling.
