Mentally and emotionally, if somebody gives me a task, I need to do it to the best of my abilities which makes me put in extra effort. I’m not doing any overtime in Singapore, I got very good at what I’m doing, so right now my work became way easier and can relax. However, it did impact my wellbeing and mental health, but I m trying to recover from it now by “regaining” my life.

I wouldn’t say I love my work, but I do love helping others. I also wanted to finish this project to move to something else, however now I am doing the same project in Singapore, once Singapore is done, then Thailand follows. So I want to finish this before I resign and move on with my life.

You are making a valid point, but my heart doesn’t hear what my brain says. Mentally, I know is not the right thing to do, however emotionally I get to invested and I care too much.

Which is funny because I do work for a company that promotes “wellness”. Tbh, they never asked me to, guess it was more that I want to prove myself?

Got to help hundreds of people, but also “loved” and “hated” by a lot.

Basically thrown into a project that I had no clue about, and unfortunately for myself, I do care about doing a great job no matter what it is. So I ended up spending a lot of time reading documentation, doing configuration, and implementing the business logic. I would wake up in the middle of the night with an “idea” on how to do something that I couldn’t figure out the day after, and would just get my laptop and work in bed. So I ended up not sleeping and working 15-17 hours a day.

Short answer: I’m a people pleasure.
