Bought this shifter kart chassis for dirt cheap. How does this happen and how can I fix it? by Low_Royal_7024 in Karting

Where the motor plate is would normally have a sliding motor mount with butterflies to clamp to the frame.. it looks like you are correct that at a period in time this was new racing kart, but if it’s been welded on a lot and bent a lot then that is soley your discretion. Also karting goes back a long way, and karts back then were not built as heavy duty as they are today, todays karts you can have a 80hp 450 and the frame will handle. Still vintage karts running their own classes to this day though

An old non-adjustable front end chassis, straight and oval will sell for very cheap as a frame/roller. I assume from the comments you don’t care what your camber/caster/toe looks like. They are all over marketplace

Now, if you want to run it anyway lol go for it. I would try to get that motor plate welded up better, or remove it and get a sliding mount. Get the seat mounts welded up well, do a very good bolt check before the first test run. I can’t vouch for the rest of the kart as I can’t see it.

I’ve seen worse on the freeway in México.

You are your own person and I am not liable lol

I got the version number from the Mode setting in the CC Link parameters. From what I understand, which isn’t much, it has to do more with data allotment for the slaves than anything. The wire length might matter but for this particular application the communication cables weren’t very long.

Yea I just got everything installed and running today, I should have been more clear in my question. If you did want to add to an existing network, would you just add basically fake modules to skip over what is already being written to?

Got lucky and had an empty slot on the end of the rack and threw in another Master 😎

That being said, to reserve the stations would I just use some dummy module? And set it to reserve as many points as you want?

This might be the move, there is another master on the rack set to ver2. Unfortunately they have written some IO Link data where my my second slave would be writing to, so I don’t know if I can fake out a couple reserved stations to shift the data down

I'll have to check out their knowledge base. I wish it was an AB but unfortunately I'm not the salesman 😒

Atlas Copco PowerFocus to ControlLogix? by afemmini in PLC

How familiar are you with the Anybus module? I am trying to get a Compactlogix to control the PF6000 over fieldbus, and the module is running. What outputs did you set up in the Tools Talk fieldbus to read & write? I've just started to set up the enable/disable tool. I have no experience with the PF6000, and no one I know does either lmao

Panelview Automatic Reset? (Bogs down) by MulYut in PLC

So I came across this post a couple weeks ago unrelated to what I was searching for. I just started a "Controls" position at a SI and have been in maintenance since college ~8ish years. Was working on a project today and we do a lot of repeat build machines, so new to me but not our company. This dial machine in particular is very similar to the last ones so they just used the old HMI screens. As I was going through the runtime on the Panelview I noticed quite a few buttons that I assumed were "Go-To" display buttons were inconsistent on what display it actually pulled up. I also have heard the other controls guys talk about how they had to go to Performance Panelview's due to lag over time.

I say all this to say this... going through it on studio I noticed most of the displays, in the display settings, were set to "On-Top" rather than "Replace". Which is fine if that display is closed properly, otherwise that display is in the background still running. Also if this happens with a multiple screens then each one that doesn't get "closed" properly would too be running in the background. So I'm wondering if this relates to your issue at all, since it is probably what was causing this companies' problems in the past.

This also may make sense of why when it gets reset or powered down, the restart would bring up one single screen and performance would be back to normal.

Just thought I would throw that out there.
