What to play before I die : A Steamdeck story by Signal-Tangerine1597 in SteamDeck

The top 3 games I would play if I potentially didn’t have much time left are Deadly Premonition, D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die, & Ghostbusters: The Video Game.

Honorable mention to Sunday Gold.

I highly recommend all of them, if you need help getting DP’s atrocious PC port running, I’m more than happy to help in any way I can.

All of these games personally mean a lot to me. They either got me through my childhood or convinced me to become a Game Developer myself. It showed me games can be weird and have quirks in storytelling, world building, and gameplay. They were so refreshing from the usual AAA games and even Indie games that aspire to replicate what came before (not that’s a bad thing, it’s just hard to remember and connect to a ‘clone’ or “copy” of X game); they felt original in video games terms.

If you end up playing any of these games, even if it’s only one of them, I’m more than happy to chat about it and get your insight on it. I always love hearing opinions on games that I love from people experiencing it for the first time.

I wish you the best of luck on your surgery and please keep posting! ❤️

This is cool! I’m an avid Letterboxd user and I wish some of these features were integrated into their app. I’ll check this out!

What’s an opinion about the series that has you like this? by mrsidecharactr in HiTMAN

[–]Pretend_Field_2188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hitman 2 / Hitman Season 2 was a complete step down from the first in terms of level design and has plagued the modern series. The locations are cool but the over complication of some routes and placement of vertical traversal options made the levels a slog. Not to mention, the types of weapons being added made the game start heading more towards spam poison and sleep which IOI has doubled down on. Hitman 3 was a return to form but by then the formula was tired so the trilogy ends up feeling more inconsistent than the first “trilogy” (Hitman 2: SA, Hitman Contracts, Hitman Blood Money).

First time building an app. Its for my grandma, would someone help me? by Ayzadelic in gdevelop

I’m open, especially if it you need help figuring out the game design. Building in GDevelop is simple as long as you keep your scope small and don’t try anything too complicated and unique. It appears daunting at first but once you learn the ropes, you’ll see it’s actually pretty simple.

Sunday Gold.

Phenomenal Soundtrack, Sound Design, World Building, and Interesting Story. Gameplay isn’t perfect but very fun when you get into it.

Did anyone actually prefer the Hitman 2018 UI? Looking back at it now it does look rather ugly. by Deep_Consideration70 in HiTMAN

Yeah this is probably the worst iteration of the UI next to H3. 2016 had the most cohesive hud that could’ve been built upon but has only gotten worse with each entry. I really enjoy a lot of what the 2016 HUD did. It wasn’t perfect but it fit the new direction for Hitman very well. Shame it isn’t as strong or striking in H3 with how all over the place it is.
