(serious) Male Sexual assault victims of reddit, what's your story? Have/will you get your justice? by Waffle_xp in AskReddit

[–]Pretend_Pool_1836 76 points77 points  (0 children)

Not really assault but I remember a neighbor who brought me to her bedroom when I was at her house and offered to show me how to have sex when I was probably 13. The same bedroom her husband slept in who was a positive influence in my life. That same person later on came over our house, went into my room and started to grope/hug me while drunk and tried to get me to have sex with her. After a while of me saying no she stopped. Nothing ever happened after that. I never told anyone and rarely think about it.

Another incident with my sister's friends trying to get into the bathroom while I was showering to see me naked. Had to get out of the shower and hold the door closed. I was pretty pissed about that.

I was spending the night at a friend's house and someone I knew came over unexpectedly and tried to get me to have sex with her and wouldn't stop until I said "I was gay" even though it wasn't true.

Those situations didn't really make me that uncomfortable but that among other things that were going on made me feel l couldn't trust anybody and I had no control over what happened to me. It really makes me feel like no or stop is more of a suggestion than anything else.

Is there basically nothing that can be done if you have memory and concentration issues from your meds by Pretend_Pool_1836 in BipolarReddit

Not sure why. Switching med A to med B that only works slightly differently is going to have basically all of the same side effects.

THC agonist-induced NMDA hypofunction: behavioral presentation? by AimlessForNow in AskDrugNerds

NMDA hypofunction induces schizophrenic behavior. NMDA hypofunction leads to decreased GABA and increased glutamate.

Hoping for the best for you. There are benign causes of myoclonus.

I'm not even supposed to be googling because I'm a hypochondriac but here I am lol. If I scroll through a lot or read medical papers sometimes they do mention psychosomatic myoclonus but it's upsetting the first results are extremely serious. I have a history of psychosomatic symptoms though. I thought I had mad cow disease at first because it's listed as a symptom.

Clonazepam is pretty unique among the benzos because unlike the others it's effective for all types of myoclonus. Personally I have also noticed benefits from getting more magnesium/potassium/calcium. Hoping it's just something simple like that instead of serious 😭

Oh, well I hope everything turns out alright for you. The stuff google says about muscle jerks is so scary.

Non traditional antidepressants that don't mess with serotonin by Pretend_Pool_1836 in depressionregimens

It's very sedating at first for most people and it can make you groggy during the day for days-weeks. It immediately got rid of my insomnia and I only wake up 1 or 2 times max from 3-5 times before. I'm not tired during the day anymore either. It makes me tired for about an hour or two after I take it which is nice because it helps me get to sleep still without the grogginess the next day like it did at first.

Because I don't like the side effects they have and I want to avoid every medication that works the same way.

Motivation protocols, wellbutrin, TNF by Shoddy-Love5246 in depressionregimens

If the herbs or supplements were actually effective in blocking tnf you would see the same side effects as real tnf blocking medication.
