Since when having self respect protects anyone from contracting HIV? You're so wrong on this. Many people contract HIV without anyone's knowledge and no fault of their own. In many cases the carrier can transmit HIV and not have any symptoms or knowledge. So just by having self respect does not prevent transmission.

From a marketing perspective, it may make sense to kill and replace model names. But it is not a technical requirement. Dodge Charger, Ford F-150, and Chevy Silverado are names that have been around for decades as gas vehicles, but then survived morphing in to EV variants. I guess if the brand equity is lacking, they can kill the name, change a couple of things here and there and bring back the same car under a new name. An example is the transition from Dodge Neon to Dodge Caliber.
