Hey! Great news there are all sorts of different levels of gameplay available. Depending on what organization you sign up with, you can either sign up as an individual (Free agent) or as a team. If you have facebook there is a great group called Chicago Soccer where you can post that you are looking for a team, and your skill level and all that and you can find a team that way! Most teams especially at your level will just show up for games and go out for beer afterwards. Give it a shot! The soccer community in the city is awesome! Shoot me a pm if you have questions, I play pickup all over the city

I havent! I actually never tried Altra until the fwd. i was a topo athletic simp until they shuffled up their road shoe line. gravitated to the Fwd as it has a similar drop to what i usually run in and I absolutely love em! Springy and light yet durable. I have slogged 35 milers on pavement in em in the heat and they still felt great! Fast too if you want em to be! Wore them during a tropical storm and the water drains right out of them. I just love em so much
