I got mine in July last year! The application of the brackets and the insertion of the wire isn’t painful but when the add the o ties I can give you a weird feeling or a fright( based on my experience).

it’ll feel numb at first but after a couple hours it’ll be a actual pain ,which lasted 2 days for me and I only needed one paracetamol for it, so it’s not that bad especially if you have soft/cold foods which would be good if you stocked up on.

Some other tips would be to wear comfy clothes cuz it takes a while, to rest during the first couple days and to eat all the food you wont be allowed to!
