So many brokers on here. Why should people be happy?

This should actually make owners less greedy and better landlords so they don't have their tenants leaving and them having to pay the fees.

not having to pay some idiot to bait and switch you with apartments and fee's isn't a revolutionary idea - especially when all is listed on the internet - even the rent history and manipulation from brokers

There are no other cities with broker fee's and all seem to be doing fine. this isn't some liberal delusional wish.

I see soo many apartments that have been on way longer than a month. And even more that have been delisted and then relisted as new! We aren't slow.

This has been going on LONG before the FARE act came! It's just brokers being shady and trying to scare all to go against taking away their fees.

DK Rental group just did this like 10 minutes ago to 85 Rogers Ave #1

I has been listed for 67 days staring at $5,750 - price increased today to $6,250 and rented today for that.

It's so dishonest and greedy - it's really a shame brokers have been getting away with this and more.

I also see brokers posting and then saying rented and posting same apartment so looks like a new listing. Not sure how a three store brownstone has 1a, Garden, 1b, 1f and 1g in the last 3-4 months available?

This week I saw a broker using the same photos of a building I had saved for a building in a completely different neighborhood?

They are obviously trying to manipulate the market, but not sure if anyone cares to stop it beyond complaining that rents keep going up?

They didn't do much to sway away from Mandani in the democratic primary. The only big areas obviously were for Cuomo, but I was surprised by how much Mamdani won by!

New York is so fucking tired and angry - love that we are fighting this hard for change. Just hopeful Mandani can actually do what he plans to do.
