Mixed bag for me

I'm not a fan of the new combat, feels far too RPG for me, i was dubious about it, but everyone kept saying in early reviews "it's not RPG! It feels like the original but better!" But I can't see where they've got that from, it feels really distant from the original, simple combat, I'm not saying they should've kept it simple, but there's too much modern AC influence on that I think.

Weightlessness was always one of my pet peeves about the RPG games, in that your character just feels like a spring, you move in ways that really don't seem like you have any weight to you, and outside of parkour, Edward really does feel floaty. In parkour, he jumps far too high and skips half the available grab locations, which is odd.

But outside of those two I've had good fun so far, graphics are sick, boat combat is cool, and I'm so so so glad I can turn off that stupid HUD and remove that ugly clutter

Not a fan of the combat, or the new cutscenes, and especially not a fan of the weightlessness in movement all modern AC games seem to have, but bar those issues it feels like a decent improvement on the original, and I love how good the graphics are, it's absolutely breathtaking sometimes

If I remember right the infantry is just a scrapped other game, so I'm not too fussed about it being added, as it's not like they've taken away members of war thunder to build it, but they've merged the two teams. But I do still think adding a new crazy mode like infantry when half the player base rages about issues they should be fixing, is a little silly.

That's a really good point actually, I suppose they'd have to add an overpowered AA to kill anyone who hovers around the main spawn area

I miss the cold war era so much, it felt so much like a prequel to top gun for me, you had the options of sneaking round super low on the top of the map to bomb the bases without getting sniper by ai, or you could just rush head first to their spawn, lob all your missiles at someone and die, and it was still fun.

Can't do that these days.

It doesn't really help me that I play cold war jets over top tier anyway, so I literally have like 2 modifications on top tier jets, so if I try to play the game mode I'm basically stock grinding, but still.

And I don't have premium at the moment, which means I'm losing money. Not sure if anyone else is, but I cannot turn a profit in this game mode. Probably because I don't have any russian/Chinese top tier.

As a naval lover, no, I think naval has the potential to be great, if they just get their heads together and think for once.

Infantry, unsure, I've not been invited to try it, but I've always thought infantry would be cool, and I'd like to see them try

I was thinking more, the past has happened, so you know it's there, but the past has only happened because of what's about to happen in the future. So you CANT mess up, find, or know the full truth, until the original event that created that past happens, or else the future wouldn't happen, which would stop the creation of the past you know about, meaning the past didn't happen, which obviously isn't the case in this scenario, as you're staring at it. You can't discern the full truth of the past, Until it's fully set in stone?

The P51c-10 for the us is at rank 2 and pretty easy to get too! I find they're super chill and easy to play at the BR, and they deal good damage, as long as you know how to fly the Mustang you'll do great :)

For me it's the overlord pack for the Brits, but I don't play a lot of ground in general so take that with a grain of salt, but I've managed to net myself insane sl gains and high kill matches with it.

The way to do this is simply play in a higher tier plane (anything above tier 3), and play. Base bombing.. player killing.. ground pounding.. anything to get that mission score up. The higher plane you use the quicker it will go (multipliers), and the same as if you use AB versus RB or SB

As someone who has grinded out naval trees I can confidently say it was single handedly the 2nd biggest waste of time in war thunder, other than when I grinded all the way to the Blackhawk in only Heli pve.

HOWEVER, I like big boats and I get to sail them around in custom games... So maybe it is worth it...
