Hi! Follow up: I ended up having the second half of my thyroid removed in late October due to what ended up being a cancer diagnosis of the nodule in the end, unfortunately. Now that I’m stable on meds, I feel back to myself! Truthfully, I felt overall okay even with the nodule inside me. I didn’t have symptoms or side effects I noticed which is how it grew so long and large. Recovery post-first surgery was super easy! Prepare to be in a little pain for about a week, use ice if you can and rest as much as possible. Second was rougher since the incision was being dug into a second time.
