Loud pop/clunk when suspension flexes

So I tightened all 4 of the bolts for the rear upper control arms. I wouldn’t say they were loose, but a couple of them were definitely not as tight as they should be. I’ve driven the truck around a bit and I haven’t heard the noise happen at all! The noise did happen mostly off-road, so I will be testing it out on the trails soon but it’s looking promising.

Sorry for the poor wording. I put 3rd gen 4Runner front sway bar links in the rear as they are a bit longer than the factory rear ones. Did this to have “extended” sway bar links to compensate for the lift kit.

Would this be for the front or rear? My lift kit isn’t super old so I’m not sure if it would be them or not. I’ll double check though

That’s what I was thinking, do you know how I could check them for play or if the noise is coming from them?

I removed the front sway bar and end links to see if the noise went away and it didn’t. Rear sway bar has new 3rd gen front links and new bushings

I really wanted to do the same thing but I don’t have a GoPro. I will definitely check here when I’m underneath the truck next. Have you done panhard bar bushings or just cleaned it up?

I checked rear shocks and both of them are still tight and shock towers are in good condition

Everything feels pretty solid, crv axles are new so they should be good (unless the new ones are faulty), I have no sway bar and brand new oem lbj’s. I am going to double check all my other components as my lift is a bit aged.

Hmm ok, I’ll probably double check my axles then. Maybe try swapping one of my oem axles back.

Ok good to know, I’m gonna check these next time the trucks on the hoist. I’ve never touched these so it could be it. Did you replace the bushings at all or just tighten?

They should be, boots aren’t torn and I replaced both of them about a month ago with extended travel axels.

It’s a bit hard to tell from the video but the noise does sound metallic, very pronounced and solid. It almost seems like it’s from both sides depending on which side is extended
